In 2008, Scott Strickland began a passion project in Los Angeles, bringing Italian Ice from the East Coast to sunny California. When he moved to San Diego in 2014, few people had heard of it, but he believed they'd love it, and he was right when he brought his dream to life.
The Turning Point
After facing tough setbacks with rising costs and limited exposure, Scott took a leap of faith, rolled up his sleeves and began crafting small batch recipes with fun flavors and natural ingredients. We serve weekly at farmers markets throughout San Diego and Riverside County.

From humble beginnings to a local favorite, So Cal Famous Beach Ice now serves gourmet Beach Ice - fresh, fun, and full of flavor. We're proud to open our very first storefront in Poway!
